Injuries sustained from Car Accidents

Massage therapy can be a great resource for treating common injuries sustained in an automobile accident, such as whiplash, headaches, neck pain, fatigue, sleeplessness and back pain. If you’ve been injured, I would love to help. Steps to help you get better faster.

  • First, please see your attending physician or chiropractor for an exam and assessment to discuss your treatment options. If your doctor feels massage therapy could be helpful, ask for a prescription for massage.

Send your claim information to me.

Please send the following as soon as possible via email or phone:

Name of the auto insurance company

    Your claim number

    Date of the accident

Name and phone number of the person managing your claim (often called a claim adjuster)

Ideally, the insurance information you provide to me will be for a claim that you have opened with YOUR auto insurance company, regardless of who is at fault. This potentially enables your medical providers to be paid for your care as the costs accrue via the Personal Injury Protection (PIP) policy that is available on your insurance policy.

  • Tipping is never expected and always optional at my office- and it is kind of what is expected in the massage industry when working for someone else. As a business owner, I set my prices to compensate myself and do not live off of tips like someone at a spa/franchise studio might. I’d rather you get more bodywork, refer someone to me, or take time out of your busy day to comment or sign up at one of my social media outlets and kindly leave me a positive online review, than tip me! If you do wish to leave a tip, 15-20% is typical.Item descriptionDescription text goes here

  • My massages are scheduled for the time on the table plus at least an added 15 minutes or more to each session for you to relax when getting on and off the table. Also, during your first appointment, I will often go an extra 20 minutes or so, so expect an added 30 minutes to see me at my office.

  • In not every treatment do I have people undress, it all depends on what is happening with your body and what you are in for. when I leave the room and ask for you to be at your comfort level, it means simply that. You do not have to undress completely for a massage. The amount of clothing you remove is up to you and your comfort level. Some people keep their underwear on during a massage and often times, not - it’s up to you. If you are coming in for a typical massage, you will always be covered with a sheet and/or blanket during your massage (above the bottom sheet with the top sheet and blanket over you) and I only uncover the area of your body that I am working on. Also, I step out of the room to give you privacy to undress and dress at the beginning and end of each session. Also, it’s helpful to take off necklaces, earrings if dangly, and bracelets and watches.

  • Big meals should be avoided before a massage, but a light snack to prevent hunger is perfectly fine. Post massage you do need a lot of water, and so I would wait a bit before eating a larger meal.

  • Chatting during a session is entirely up to you. You can be silent or talk the whole time! Sleeping (and snoring) is allowed and your body will still reap the benefits of the treatment. If chatting or talking about what you are experiencing during the session or about the weather is helpful to you, then please feel free to do so. Also, please know that during you

massage, you are in control. I will check in, in regards to pressure and if I can do additional work.

  • No call / No show appointments will be charged in full. Cancellations with less than 12 hours notice will be charged 60% of service.

Refund Policy: We offer credit for services or a refund minus credit card processing fees.
